The required hardware depends on the type of luminaire used:

- Floor luminaires without smart module: An extension module (e.g. MTM smart sensor) is used here to make the luminaire My Data Analysis ready.
- External ceiling modules: Rooms without new luminaires can be equipped with the external standalone Smartmodule One.
- Integrated smart modules in lighting systems: Smart modules can be integrated into lighting systems and used modularly, for example in combination with luminaires.
Hardware, software, data processing and hosting offer the highest security standards. Data is encrypted and transmitted to regent.cloud, where it is securely stored. Access is strictly limited to authorised personnel. No personal data is processed; all information is anonymised. After analysis, the data is stored in a data warehouse. regent.cloud is operated in the Microsoft Azure cloud in Switzerland. Through regular maintenance and ongoing security updates, Regent ensures that systems and data remain protected at all times. Data protection is an integral part of the system architecture from the very beginning.
My Data Analysis luminaires are commissioned via a standardised commissioning process. Each luminaire is registered individually in regent.cloud and a floor plan is created in which the luminaires are positioned correctly. In addition, an administrator account is created in regent.cloud.
regent.cloud is the smart building portal developed and operated by Regent. Raw data from installed sensors is processed, analysed and visualised there.
The sensors transmit data wirelessly, for example via Bluetooth Mesh or Wi-Fi, to a central gateway or directly to regent.cloud. Depending on the use case, the data is processed there and clearly visualised.

Updates are provided automatically from regent.cloud and can be transmitted wirelessly to the luminaires.
Economic efficiency
Commissioning and using My Data Analysis generally comprises the following components:
- One-time initial costs: A one-off fee is charged for the smart modules and the complete installation to put the system into operation.
- Annual licence fees: Annual licence fees are charged for the use of regent.cloud and the maintenance of all My Data Analysis components. These depend on the number of luminaires and the scope of functions.
