Opus (Design Pierre Junod)
With the development of Opus, REGENT has set new standards of lighting technology and design. The innovative lighting concept with transferral lighting technology employs a circular T5 fluorescent tube concept for the first time ever. The new transferral lighting technology deflects the light by entering sideways to the disk and invisibly downwards. A specially made acrylic plate with silk screen-printed grooves in various widths and spacing controls this wanted effect. The new type of light guiding element ensures optimised direct and indirect lighting as well as a glare-free and balanced light distribution. The transferral lighting technology also enables a filigree and timeless lighting design never seen before in this field. The circle as the basic shape creates harmony and at the same time sets spatial reference points. The ultra-flat light diffuser and a reduced diameter permit the Opus luminaires to float in space.
